In 2024, KATALYST designer Kate Evans produced and directed an international campaign for the sneaker and apparel collaboration between ASICS and UpThere Store - Designing a series of absurdist sculptures and a story behind them for video and stills.
The Absurd Interactions concept follows inanimate objects and humans starting at opposite ends, performing their expected function but as they interact they learn from each other, mirror each other and realise they are not so different after all.
These sculptures were also taken to Paris Fashion Week in May 2024 to launch the range in the ASICS showroom.
Sculptures are made from discarded industrial foam metal and wire.
