The Handkerchief Top is a celebration of Kate’s textile-focused design process and playful manipulation of shapes.
Derived from two simple squares of fabric and undulating lines of elastic, this top moulds to your body whilst simultaneously reacting against it to create a unique silhouette.
As a versatile, lightweight top it’s comfortable to wear in the summer or can be layered over a skivvy for cooler temperatures.
This design is best suited to lightweight cottons, silks, wool gauze or lace.

The Handkerchief Top is a freeform garment that will sit differently on each body shape - it is best worn when the elastic can gather in and scrunch the fabric up, so you want to pick the size where the un-stretched measurement is closest to your bust measurement - if you’re sitting somewhere in the middle, go up a size.
